After 50 miles on the trail our family walked into a perfect restaurant. Of course the BBQ rib eye cooked in the Josper charcoal barbeque was spot on, the veal and swordfish were tender and deeply flavourful. But what really set this lovely warm vibed...place apart for us was the shared sides cooked so clearly with a love for food details, new tastes, and the clear line between palette and heart. Try the smoked fennel on the homemade seed crackers, curly good greens tucked in with foamy wasabi and the surprising pop of caviar looking onion vinaigrette translucent pearls. It was a party. Or the fries cooked crisp and layering, perfect for dipping in the eggplant fuzzy with fishy bonita flakes. We didnt save any room for a dessert, but ate two perfect concoctions nonetheless. We can always work it out tomorrow on the slopes of mount blanc. More
Wow ! Very good food and I was in trouble to choose because so many interesting courses. Good service and a cozy/chic atmosphere! I definately recommend this restaurant👍
The best restaurant we visited in Chamonix - vegan curry was so tasty and fresh as was the chicken curry. Hubby said his pork belly was the best he has ever had - and he has had lots previously! Friendly staff, lovely wine and great...atmosphere - we will definitely go again if we come back to Chamonix More
Fantastic experience. Booked late (4pm) for a party of 9 - they kindly moved a few things around to accommodate us at 7.30pm. The service was excellent for the whole evening, as was the food & wine. Will definitely visit again, highly recommended
We visited Bizes on the first night of a 3 night trip and enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much we went back again on our last night. The food was great and the service was warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Delicious- we loved the flavour that came from the josper BBQ over. We had the baked mushroom and the steak with triple cooked chips and they were delicious. We loved the buzz of the cosy restaurant. The wine was very good also. We’d highly recommend...and would definitely eat here again if coming back to Chamonix. More
Food is good but service is mediocre to say the least... The venue is also pretty average. Wasn't a "bad" experience but will not go again...
Beautifully cooked food and was a great atmosphere to spend the evening with friends. We all left very satisfied with the meal and the hospitality of the staff. Our table had a nice view over the river.
We first went to Bizes a few years ago and loved it, for some reason we never made it back despite frequent visits to Chamonix in the intervening years. Last night we went again and I was so annoyed that this restaurant hadn't been on...my 'must visit' list the last few years! In a town where its hard to escape bread and cheese as staples Bizes offers modern, fresh cooking with pan-asian flavours, and a concise, yet wide enough, menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. As a vegetarian I often struggle in France but at Bizes I was spoilt for choice whilst my husband raved about the smoke prawns and fresh fish of the day as a main. Great cooking, friendly service and excellent value in a charming environment. I definitely won't be leaving it so long before our next visit! More
Beautiful dinner & wine! We ate here last night and every course was delicious. Would definitely recommend the prawns in particular as a starter and the rib-eye was incredible as a main. Side dishes included chunky chips (delicious) and a 3 bean salad. Even the...salad garnish with the steak was beautifully dressed. Would definitely recommend others visit here! Service was great! Had dinner here during the Toussaint vacation. I am quite disappointed as I had high hopes after reading the reviews and seeing it be a highly rated restaurant for Chamonix. I understand with covid that menus will change but it would have been more appréciable...had the restaurant updated their menu online as the menu in store had few choices and all at a more expensive price point. We had the chicken curry and portobello mushroom both at 19€. The portobello mushroom dish had little quantity for this price. On the other hand the chicken curry had A LOT of chicken although it was quite dry. We also got the side dish of fries which was 4,50€ for basically a larger russet potato cut into long and large fries. They were tasty but the price? It was a cozy atmosphere on the inside but for quality and quantity I don’t think it was worth it. More
We ca me as a group of friends on Covid shut down night. The food was amazing and made from scratch. The chef and owner were very friendly and helpful with helping us to chose an amazing selection of food and wine - it was...More
